This Weekend at Museum of the Earth

There's a lot going on all the time at Museum of the Earth. This is what's happening this weekend:

Saturday, November 3
America Recycles Day
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Join us for some off-site fun at The Shops at Ithaca Mall to celebrate the
10th anniversary of American Recycles Day. This day is held annually to
increase awareness around social, environmental, and economic benefits of
buying recycled products and recycling in general. Help build our
"Recycle-a-saurus" and do activities with various organizations!

Natural History at Noon at Museum of the Earth
12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
"Natural History of the Grape: The Historical Genetics of Wine" with Chris
Owens, USDA Research Geneticist
Wine grapes are one of our oldest fruit crops. This talk will trace major
developments in the domestication and spread of grape cultivation and
wine-making. Particular emphasis will be on the important role that
genetics has played in the spread of global viticulture.

Sunday, November 4:

Dino Toddler Tales
2:00 p.m. at Museum of the Earth
During Dinosaurs in Popular Culture, join us under the whale for dinosaur
stories, fun and games, for our youngest toddler dinosaur friends.

Weekend Events at Museum of the Earth


Saturday, October 20 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Dinosaurs in Popular Culture Family Opening

Join us with a host of family friendly Dino-Mite activities at the Museum of the Earth! There will be dino-games, dino-crafts, and lots of dino-mite activities for dino-lovers young and old. Come help us celebrate the opening of this exhibit, and be one of the first to see it on display!

Saturday, October 20 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Dinosaurs in Popular Culture Evening Opening

Bring your friends to the Museum for wine and tapas and stroll through this new Dino-Mite exhibit. This event is free for all, and will be a wonderful time.
