Happenings at Museum of the Earth...



Fossil ID Day

Staff paleontologists at the Museum of the Earth and PRI help you identify your most puzzling find, from brachiopods to trilobites to funny-looking rocks!

Join Dr. Judith Nagel-Meyers as she discusses "What can the seashells in our backyards tell us - Devonian clams in Upstate New York."

Take a Tour of the Museum
Museum of the Earth is pleased to offer exhibit tours included with admission to the Museum. Now offered four times a week, guided tours of the Museum's permanent exhibition hall, A Journey through Time, share the story of the Earth and its life. The tours are offered on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:30 and Saturdays at 11:00. Tours are approximately 30 minutes long. Members are FREE.

Darwin Days 2008: Evolution and the Environment

Celebrate Charles Darwin's Birthday (Feb. 12) with us through a series of lectures, panels, and performances throughout the week. Highlights include a keynote speech by Dr. Lynn Margulis on "Darwin's Truths and Symbiogenesis" on Thursday, Feb. 14 and a free birthday party for Darwin on Saturday, Feb. 16.
